Writer's Block: By Any Other Name

  • Jul. 16th, 2007 at 1:23 AM

If you could rename yourself in real life, what would you choose, and why?

I think, right now, I'd like to have a Japanese name, even though I am not Japanese.

I've toyed with the idea of changing my last name to Terachi.

What's holding me back is not wanting to be disrespectful of the Japanese culture.

Well, I am re-doing part of a scene I wrote, that had too much dialogue.

(don't know if that's spelled right).

I think it's alot better now, though it's only part way finished.

Early yesterday morning I worked on the beginning of my story. Yeah, it still needs work, but I have plenty of time. :)

I also got the basics of the very end of the book.

Take Are you a Seme or an Uke? today!
Created with Rum and Monkey's Personality Test Generator.

You are the highest level uke. Other uke admire you, some seme fear you. At times, you can
even fool other people into thinking you are seme with your mischievous, manipulative attitude,
but when push comes to shove, your true submissive nature emerges - all you really want is
the punishment. It takes a seme with just enough sadistic tendencies to dish out the punishment
you really want, but enough patience not to outright kill you, so you are best paired with the
"Don't Fuck With Me" Seme.

You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

I just very recently started trying (again) to write a book, but this time I think I found my niche(if that's the right word).

I have posted what I've written so far to two groups, and I haven't gotten even one negative comment, so I'm feeling very good about it.
